Delete your Auto Minder account

How to delete your Auto Minder account and the data connected to it. This applies to the Auto Minder app for Android and iPhone and to the website at autominder.app.

    You only have an account if you signed in. Auto Minder works without an account. If you
    never signed in, nothing about your vehicles was sent anywhere. To remove it, delete your records in the
    app or uninstall the app.
  

Delete it yourself in the app

Open Auto Minder and sign in, if you aren't already.
Go to Settings → Account & sync.
Tap Delete account, then confirm.

This takes effect right away. You need an internet connection, and if you signed in a long time ago the app may ask you to sign out and back in first.

Or ask us to delete it

If you can no longer use the app, email support@autominder.app with the subject "Delete my Auto Minder account", sent from the email address you signed in with. If we can't match the request to your account, we may ask you to confirm it. We delete the account and its data within 30 days and reply when it's done.

What is deleted

Your sign-in account (email address and sign-in method).
The cloud copy of every vehicle you own and all its fill-ups, service records, reminders and vehicle photograph. These are also removed from anyone you shared them with.
Your synced settings.
Reward card data you shared, including the encrypted last four digits and your sharing key.
Any contributions to the anonymous owner comparison.
You are removed from vehicles and cards other people shared with you. Their data stays theirs.

What is kept

The records on your own phone. They belong to you and are not touched. To remove them too, delete them in the app or uninstall Auto Minder.
Community comparison figures that were already published combine five or more vehicles and can't be traced back to you. They are recalculated without your vehicles.
No other copy is kept. We don't keep backups of your records, and Auto Minder has no advertising or analytics data about you to keep.
